by Providencia Allridge on Place is tiny. Had a table outside because of our large group and you cant even hear the music out there. Terrible service and the crowds arent all that great. The hotel on the other hand is legit.

I suppose when I am unfortunate enough to find myself in the Mission (I'm a hater, I know) Medjool is a decent choice considering the slim pickin's in the neighboring 8 blocks. They have a good drink list, my favorite being a pear vodka champagne. Lunch here was a disappointment though, a $13 plate of hummus was little more than a dollop. And beware of the rooftop bathroom- I've seen cleaner port-a-potties and gas stations. It's pretty grotesque in there, and you might be better off going in an alley out back. I mean- you ARE in the Mission so I am not sure anyone would even care....
by David H. on Having eatten Chinese food in Hong Kong, Vancouver, Toronto, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles I can tell you all of them are quite different. Everyone of them is good and I have favorites in each city . For Boston Chinese my favorite is Golden Temple for many reasons. I have dined, taken out, have delivery, go their late for drinks and music and in total probably over hundred times and it is consisently good. The atmosphere is comtemporary but with a edge (something you'd see in a Interior Design) and is divided up by he dining room and bar/lounge (The E Room). The place is very clean not like most Asian restaurants. The restrooms are even nice. They cook with organic or natural raised ingredients including olive oil, sea salt and organic sugar which I have not had in any other Chinese restaurant and you feel good after eating. My favorites are Golden Temple Ribs, Clams in Black Bean Sauce, Chicken Soong, Beef Teriyaki, Shai Mai, Salt & Pepper Calarmi, Green Tea Buckwheat Noodles, Mandarin Chopped Tenderloin, Lobster Sauce, Chardannay Chicken, Peking Duck, Shrimp and Asparagus, Spicy Green Beans, Stir Fried Chicken with Potatoes and Coconut Bon Bons. They actually have very large chilled martini glasses for excellent Stoli Doli or Stoli Elite martinis. The Wine list is good and has wines rated in Wine Spectator. They have their own delivery Jeeps that come in the worse snow storms to my house and are prompt. I have even Fedex food to Florida to my friends. Great place for a group, eating at the bar, a date, late night dinner. Valet Parking and street parking is available Keep in mind I give this place Five Stars because of how consistent and fresh the food is, the great delivery service, how healthy the ingredients are, the beautiful and clean atmosphere , the great Martinis, nice wine list, good desserts for a Chinese restaurant, that they serve very good espresso coffee, and that I can get very good food at midnight
