here a hussy, there a hussy, everywhere a hussy.. i happen to like this place, despite the hussies and sleazy men that call it home. IF YOU'RE GOING TO GO/GET DRAGGED TO SAINT YOU MUST ADHERE TO THESE HELPFUL TIPS: 1. don't go on ANY other day but friday. 2. if you don't know someone at the door then be sure to get there at ten and don't act surprised when you have to pay some lame door fee. it's boston. where else are you gonna go? 3. when you get to the bottom of the stairs, ask yourself: "am i a hussy? am i wearing pleather? do i like being groped by sweating pre-pubescent horny young men whilst fighting my way through a sea of fake boobies and blinding bleached hair? am i looking to have shallow sex with a rhythemless stranger tonight?" or "am i a somewhat civilized intelligent person that is not interested in meeting a dancing stranger to have bad sex with later that morning? am i more interested in shaking my ass to better music by the dj in the room to the right (his name's anthony and he likes old-school hip-hop)?" if you are civilized, go to the room to the right. if you are slutty and young, go left. my advice? GO RIGHT! don't order their cocktails, they're lame and over priced. get champagne! that's overpriced too but at least they can't screw it up, ha ha 4 stars if you go on friday night, know the door people and take a right at the bottom of the stairs. :)

This place deserves 3 stars because it can be another hit or miss. Some nights, it can get pretty ghetto. I use to follow one promoter which threw a monthly event called Levitate. Lately, the quality of the patrons dipped and that's disappointing. There's 3 floors and the Levitate event jammed to Hip Hop on the top floor, International House/Trance on the ground floor, and middle eastern  music in the basement. The decor is really nice with huge mirrors that makes it appear there's a ton of good looking people. Keep in mind that the place is very popular --- getting there at 11 PM will be about 30 mins. There's a couple of times they "fake" the line to create an allusion there's a huge crowd inside when there weren't.

This place blows. I'm not sure what the interior is like since the bouncers would not let us. I went with a big group of friends and friends of friends, perhaps 20-30 total. It was a mixed group but predominately Asian American and not at all gangsterish (but I guess that depends on your view of Asian American church culture, but I digress). We were on the guest list and stood at the front of the guest list line for more than 2 hours (arrived at 9:30) while the bouncers cherry picked white guys and Asian girls from the queue behind us. They also invited the girls, all Asian, from our group into the club but said they weren't letting in any guys yet... except they were letting a consistent stream of non-Asian men who had arrived way after us. My friends and I got fed up and went to the bowling alley across the street. Later, one of my friend's friends who was working at the club called to apologize, and said that the organizers had explicit instructions to bring in white men and Asian women, and keep out Asian men. I kid you not. That's lawsuit material. That was my first and last time at the club, so I don't know if this is a long-standing policy of the landlord or the party organizers had sent out a one-time Asian-fetish invite memo that my friends and I were not aware of. In any case, if you do choose to go there keep your eyes peeled for what's going on. There are less morally repugnant ways to feel hip and cool in LA.
