by Burma Kneisel on Huevos rancheros and delicious coffee count me in. Cafe Lift is an awesome little brunch spot, making a strong play to be one of my favorites. There were about 10 items on the menu that I wanted, but settled on my favorite morning time treat. They were not too traditional, but they were delicious, and my brunch date's eggs with crab and magic (not sure if they actually used magic, but...) were fantastic too. I was more than glad to help her finish the plate. The decor is open and friendly with seating for couples and groups. I guess my only gripe is that it is cash only and I had to run up to 12 and Spring Garden in the rain to hit an ATM (2.75 connivence fee, ouch).
by Lisa L. on I wish I had been sober enough to remember more about my night here, but it was definitely a good time (and good music). I loved that there were two dance floors - plenty of room to dance without getting trampled or drinks spilled on you. Minus a star for $20 cover.

That's because they sucked, except for the nice lady, who when I tacked on my lemon drop order to someone else giving their order she brought to me later and I thought she had forgotten or not heard me. But the one who goes by "Jack" (who later I found out is really named Hectorrrrr).......not a fan. He said he didn't feel comfortable giving out his real name. WTF? When Vanessa G. asks for your name, you fuckin' give it to her. As I write this I'm still drunk, so I'm leaving my inhibitions behind. Things that happened last night: I hit on a guitar player Gave $20 to a ratecluber I don't remember Accidentally spilled lemon drop down my shirt Wore 3-D glasses (who the hell's were those anyway--you fuckin' rock!) Danced with a tranny Started a golf group And hung out with my amazing rateclub friends. Bravo, another fun night, but not a fan of being sardined into the bar area for most of the night.
