by Chase Burdon on I was out with some friends celebrating a 21st birthday and we managed to walk our already-drunk asses into this place. I grew up listening to punk rock and I was pleasantly surprised to enter to a live punk cover band, who was playing the Descendents. The band wasn't terrible but I think they were more intoxicated than we were because they totally fucked up a song right in the middle of it! We ordered some PBRs from the bar and chilled at a booth for a while. I can tell this would be a place that one would either love or hate. Most of the bars/clubs in this area are more ritzy/formal but if you're looking for a casual place to chill (there's a dance area too) you'll be pleasantly surprised. Just don't waltz in here expecting it to be Opera.
by Simon T. on Worst. Service. Ever. Ok and word is the bartenders (one male, one female) passed me up for other people while I was waiting first because I'm a straight guy? I really hope that's not true and they're just poor bartenders. I mean c'mon, I actually look really gay! I spike my hair and work out... I mean, gay. I went to see my friends band, that's all. And just so we're clear, I work in customer service for UC. Very friendly all day, serving the needs of our customers, then after a long work day I just want a beer and expect to be treated the same. Maybe thats shooting high. Literally 15 minutes before I was served, no long line, people after me getting served first, very unfair. I wasn't the only person either, three of my friends (one actually gay, so maybe it wasn't discrimination) same experience, I told them to write on here also. Listen my buisness get's slammed on Rateclub, sometimes fairly, sometimes unfairly, that's life. Please don't go to this bar until the staff learns some customer service, or some manners.
by Candice D. on I was greeted into Supperclub by seeing Keane L. for the first time in 8ish years or so, and being handed a Martini. After reading his review, I realize the mental anguish he had to go through for said Martini. The night was looking pretty cool from there. The best time to judge a place's staff is when they are put in incredibly hard situations, I can feel for the waitstaff and the bartenders as a whole crowd of rateclubers waited forever just to get a drink. Even though they were takin a long long time, I kinda sympathized... I wasn't there for the dinner part, but I loved the style of the place. I must commend their photographer for making the place look HUGE on their website. They must have used the ever-popular "Our-place-is-too-small-for-200+-people-but-well-m ake-you-think-it-can-fit-an-army" lens.... Lotsa Hawai'i places utilize those lenses fer sure.
