I love bars like this. Situated in the posh St. Regis Hotel, it's one of the last opulent, old school bars left in the city. Walking through the main dining area, you enter a small bar and are immediately faced with the beautiful Maxfield Parish's Old King cole mural which is absolutely Breathtaking, and has apparently been recently restored due to years of smoke and grime tarnishing the artwork (this place has been around a long time). The small room has cozy tables perfect for snuggling up with your sweetie and ordering one of their classic, inimitable cocktails. The bar itself is quite large and welcoming, and allows you to watch the master bartender at work. The service at the tables can be slow, but the bartenders are swift and charming. This is a place that brings you back to the feel of old New York. It's grand, unique, and special. And I hope it never changes.

I love the delicious ambiance of this whole place. The decor is fantastic. The bar tenders/waitresses were all dressed in sexy corsets and garter belts. The drinks were decent but nothing to drool over. The times that i've gone had been various Jazz performances which were good but I was hoping for more burlesque shows.

Salsa, salsa, salsa..(but say it like Jerry Seinfeld would) If you like it, and those who perform to it, then this is your place. I like it, you know, definitely what I expected Miami to be like, but I also like some variety. I guess there is a different room upstairs that plays hip hop or something. After 2 hours of salsa any kind of music was most welcome, but by the time we caught on to this, the room was closing down for the night. Drinks were good, lots of tropical drinks to choose from. The people were friendly. I definitely felt like I was in Miami when I was there. Too bad, I didn't know where to REALLY go to at night!
