by Ted R. on Went here last night on Sunday for the new spazzmatics show, which used to be at dragonfly. So first time coming to this place, and walked right in no line/wait and paid the 10$ bucks for the cover. The place was pretty small and was at about 40% capacity. The crowd looked really dirty. Mostly skanks and druggie dudes and the sparkly shirted persian guys paying for overpriced bottle service. I order 2 beers and 2 shots of petron for 40$ bucks--a little high but not awful until i saw the size of the puny shots that were very watered down after the newb bartender chilled them wrong. The bartenders were very inattentive and seemed to be more interested in texting than slanging drinks, and for a hollywood club youd think theyd have a cute staff but mostly just older blondies who seem to have been around the hollywood scene since the 90's. So i go out to the smoking patio and right away a russian security meathead, seriously straight outta a moscow strip club, starts asking " who is zzee smoking dope" obv the dude next to me but im no rat. So the guy says he wants to search ME for weed-- haha in LA! Search me are you crazy i say and laugh and he says either you let me check your pockets or you have to leave, and this is private property cops blahblah. So i say cool "im out, lemmi close my tab" not going to let this retard search me like the airport. So i get walked to the bar and close my tab with the skank blonde with a herpe on her hairy lip and then get walked out the front where the door guy says u leaving already bro? I point to the russian idiot behind me and say i wouldnt let him search me for weed, so i gotta go, and immediatly the russian guy says I had an attitude problem and im not ever allowed back in.. So instead of playhouse--im thinking grandmas house maybe? I couldnt believe how stupid people can be, search me? at a club really. What about all the crackheads and E heads in the club drinking tap waters-kick them out!! Stupid idiots here and this place will be gone in a year anyhow. Management your security guys are really stupid and will cost you money. Get new guys. Red haired 25yr russian dude 6'1 240-Fire him for trying to shake me down.
by g. m. on OMG. wildness. so fun. props to dubfire for playing for like two days straight HHAAA!! also he tagged with david squillace. both are renowned, bomb ass artist/djs - look 'em up! the terrace as the sun is rising is the shit, make sure you're ready with your shades. although lots of folks were wearing their shades already overnight. hmmm, that a south beach thing? hehe.
