So I figured it was time to come to this place since my best friends girlfriend has been bitching about going, so we finally went. I thought the food was worth what they charged for it, I ordered the salmon and apparently the chef suggested it be served medium, which was fine. It did not come out medium though, and my friends was the same way. I guess we disagree on what medium is, but it wasn't bad. Cheese plate was good, but at the end of the day we had a $250 tab(food only) and it just didn't seem worth it. I probably won't go back, and not because it was bad, but because I think I can do better for the money.

Nestled in the heart of the city lies this beautiful nightclub... FYI.  I was here to review the nightclub, not the restaurant. I was introduced to establishment by my good friend, DJ Romeo (Reyes).  I was in Northern California for the week on business and he invited me to join him.  Although, I was an hour drive away...  I didn't mind driving into the City to see a good friend.  He was the guest DJ for the evening.  Prior to coming out, he mentioned this club to similar clubs I frequent in San Diego (such as, The Ivy Hotel Rooftop & Stingaree).  But with respect to the aforementioned spots, from my experience, this was in a class by itself.  I was told that the makers of TAO Las Vegas were responsible for this gem of a club. Upon walking into this establishment, I was greeted by this beautiful smiling hostess that handled guest list.  Going up the stairs, it provided an upscale ambiance similar to venues in Las Vegas but without the pushy bouncers & servers. To build my network, as a nightlife photographer, I was introduced to the venues manager and evening's promoter.  Although, I was here as a guest they made me feel like family. Note to self:  You can still get drunk on complimentary drinks & shots, too =) The amenities:  The bartenders were prompt, the servers often came by to check on us, the DJ (of course) was off the chain with crazy Mash Up mixes played into the early mornin' =) The 15 minute rotating go-go's pre-arranged routine was kind of weird, maybe it's a NorCal thing...  Dunno?  But a little critique for the dancers, SoCal go-go dancers have fake boobies, they do use the gym?  Ouch! Okay, okay, okay...  I have to call out this one FAUX PAS.  This goes out to the 'roaming' photographer (probably not affiliated with the club) who was somewhat rude and obviously acknowledged only the beautiful people [Boo to you, Mr. Photography Guy...  You suck!]. If you happen to be like me (or live in the City) come by and try this place...  Bring a friend (or two) or mingle with some new ones, you won't be disappointed.  I can reassure you, you'll love this place.  I did.  I look forward in coming back again, again, and again...  Thank you!

When people are visiting the Bay and ask "where should I go to have a good time?" I always suggest Supper Club. And my friends have never been disappointed! The atmosphere is fantastic. It has an upscale feel without being horribly pretentious. Anywhere that still rocks a disco ball (or 12 for that matter) has my heart. But the best part is there are beds everywhere. Why is that so great? Because when you're a girl and you've been wearing 3-4 inch stilettos all night long, you want to be able to sit anywhere you damn please. And lets face it, having the option to make out on a bed can't be a bad thing right? The music really depends on the night, but every night I've been there the music has been great. It has a bit of a European vibe, probably because it's usually some kind of electro/house mix. Also, the people that work the door are very nice, not snobby, and very fashionable! The only complaint I have is that the bar is small and gets very crowded, so it takes a long time to get a drink. Hey, sometimes you gotta plan ahead and order 2 at a time! Did I mention there is a place you can buy late night hot dogs right next door? That my friend, is major. Many a morning I've woken up with mustard stains on my jeans wondering what happened the night before, only to be reminded by pictures of me stuffing my face in front of the club.
