by Brooks Gyatso on I think I am the only one who wasn't incredibly impressed with this place. First, its crazy pricey to get in. I grew up with the Smithsonian and never paying for museums, so I could just not be able to get over that. But $25 seems like a lot for normal admission. The aquarium is the best part. Second is the rain forest. Everything is is meh at best. I know, you're screaming at me, I'm supposed to LOVE this place and rave and rave. What can I say, I've experienced more, cooler and better for way less. This is supposed to be educational, but kids admission is $20?! Come on. I understand they need income to pay for all the upgrades they did and of course, for new exhibits and such, but surely there is a better way. I live in the neighborhood and unless someone gives me a ticket, or they go way down, I'm totally cool to never go again. Sad indeed.
by Emma C. on Boyfriend dumped you because he claimed that you had this "funny" smell down there? Well, you're in luck because Hiro's not in the MEATPACKING district for nothing! Come to the meat market on Friday nights and get groped and ogled by midget-esque asian-guido-wannabe types. Still couldn't get groped by 2am? Better yet, stay til the end of the night when the guys are so desperate that if you had a fur coat on and a tail wagging, they'd still take you home. At least $20 at the door got you a night of awkward thrusts by a eager little midget.

Here's why: 1) $20 for an establishment in Tenderloin is a bit too much. 2) The drinks are watered down like no other, and expensive like no other. 3) The crowd is not aesthetically pleasing, nor are they very well-mannered. 4) The music is whack. All of the above, by the way, are gross understatements.
