by Andrea G. on If you are thinking of having a wedding in San Francisco, I would recommend using this San Francisco landmark as your venue. Contact Gino Cerchiai and he will be able to help you put together the wedding of your dreams. Bimbo's 365 Club is a family run business, and Gino put his all into making sure the day was exactly how we pictured it. He met with us many times for walkthroughs, and offered helpful suggestions to make the day special. The lighting is to die for - you should have seen all the centerpieces lit up, the lighting for the cake, and the spotlight on my Husband and me for our first dance. It was amazing! The thing I wanted most at my wedding was a fun band, and there is no better venue for that! Most guests at the wedding said they have never seen so many people dancing and enjoying themselves - I know it was because we picked a great band at a location that is made for a good party. The sound, etc was perfect since they have many concerts there. Everyone who worked there was so nice and professional (bartenders, staff, etc). The location could not be better. It is surrounded by plenty of hotels for your out-of-town guests, and too many fun bars for your guests to go to when you and your Husband leave in the get-away car. It was so fun leaving my reception driving down Columbus toward the TransAmerica Pyramid with all my friends and family wishing us a happy honeymoon. The pictures we got under the marquee are the best! They customize the sign to say whatever you would like which most guests loved. Overall, the venue just has a classic, fun, feel and I am so happy I got married there.
by Teofila Chrisley on Good space, both for art and for clubbing or events. The concrete floors clas a bit with the leather banquette seating, but the overall vibe is nice. I was here for a mid-day private event, and the natural light flooding the art gallery room was wonderful. Private events can be arranged on a bar-minimum basis. I suspect the gallery area would be my hang-out at night, as I'm told the DJ gets extremely loud - earplugs are definitely the recommended. Both of the hot, friendly, and very capable bartenders (Katt and Sarah) use them. Outside food is welcome, as are credit cards with a $20 minimum; an on-site ATM is available and a WellsFargo ATM sits at the end of the block. The 2 bathrooms are large and unisex, which is nice. There's also lots of free parking nearby and it's a short jaunt from the highway. Enjoy the beer, wine, sake, and soju along with the rather impressive art; shows change every month or so.
by Starr Speno on We already know they bring great entertainers to SOBs, so I'm gonna comment on the food. The food's gotta be right in order for me to consider a place great and at SOBs it is. Tables are cramped, but surely you can suck that up and just be glad you're there.
