by Claretta Emore on My first time at Pandora we arrived an hour before closing. Walking in I was amazed at the atmosphere of the main room which was chill and aimed at bringing people together in an intimate surrounding. We had to wait 15 minutes for a room to be ready, and they put us in the Pyramid room. The themes are CLEVER as someone reviewed and I hella liked how it was neat and modern. The only thing that was irritating were the kareoke machines. if you don't know what you want to sing, it is a time waster and it's basically costing you the time you should be singing. I hope they bring in song books to rectify that situation. Also, you have to press pretty hard to select something :( At the rate of the room, it is a bit pricey but if you have a big enough party then you can have fun for a few dollars :) We had a party of 4, and I didn't sing because I was looking up the songs. Overall, I liked the atmosphere and the cute themes. The employees could be a bit more animated to match the atmosphere (they didn't look like they were having any fun :P like they came just to work) since nothing in my mind stuck out about them except for that fact. At the end of the night, we sung a total of 50 songs, drank a few beers, and partied hard. Security came in and was a bit assuming and rude but I guess they deal with a bunch of hardheads and drunks every night so I totally understand if that's the case. Overall, if you're looking for fun in the city, Pandora is a good place to go with a big group of friends and sing your heart out. But don't bring people that are party poopers!
by Candi Aschbacher on Wow, what a great place. I was in the area and on a whim, decided to stay there. One of my friends recommended this place to me and I called. At a first glance, driving in, I thought "Really? This must be a joke" But we decided to give it a shot since I was tired of driving. Thank goodness for that. Once we walked in, it was like finding an Oasis amidst the tenderloin. It's really peaceful inside. I love all the green plants and the cabanas. The service was great, the chick at the front desk was very helpful and even called to check up on us and make sure we found the room ok. The room FELT clean. I laid my head on the pillow without having that nagging voice telling me to go get my pillow from the car ha ha. The complimentary breakfast was nice too. The weather outside was a little crisp but pleasant, they served breakfast outside and provided heat lamps so you could enjoy your coffee poolside. It was a really relaxing place. We decided we're going to make it a regular weekend mini getaway.

We had a map of all the venues for our pub crawl and someone (can't remember who to blame) decides that the Cinch "looks cool- let's check it out". So we unknowingly walked into a gay bar. No biggie. It's all good. Let me just say that the trannie talent was in top form! Goodness gracious. The hair. The vast amount of sequence. The eyeliner. Boobies waaay bigger than mine! Stumbled out of here and watched Mr. Plastic Cactus save our friend from landing flat on her face. (Mr. C is also wonderful for the standard "mount and hump the cactus" photo op. YEAY!) Pardon? The locals do WHAT with the plastic cactus?!?! *searches for hand sanitizer*
