by Kia B. on Booked a table with friends last weekend. From the start the service was great. Linda and I handled everything through email which made it easy. I had multiple changes to the guest list in the days leading up to the reservation, and there was never a problem. We arrived a bit before 11:00 and Linda met us downstairs to take us up to our table. The waitress provided great service once we were all seated and was very proficient at her job. Comfy table fit our group of 12 with more than enough room to spare. $ well spent. Pointers: -Check calendar to see what Djs will be spinning before booking. -Tables upstairs are far superior to those on the main floor.
by Major Kneifel on Hm. This is hard. I can't honestly say this is a bad place, it is simply just "not my scene". Sure, it's douchebag central, but if you like that kind of thing, then its a great place to be. Temperature was lovely compared to the Texas heat, and our bartender had a very heavy pour. Third floor had a nice seating area, and a pretty snazzy dance area. Didn't check out the second floor, but the first floor had a nice chill vibe, and a really cool looking bar. Of course, everyone here is in a skimpy dress or Ed Hardy tee, but hey- whatever rocks your boat. If you're attractive, you will probably have a good time and/or get laid easily here :)
by Nathanial Trefry on Visited Silk City again this weekend. Took a bit of hiatus and was glad to be back! Silk, or sweaty, City never disappoints. DJ DeeJay plays fun popular music that my friends and I love to sing along to...usually causing me to be quite hoarse come Sunday mornings! All in all a fun place to dance with your friends and the best part...cheap drinks! What's not to like?
