by Christina B. on I have no idea what the scene is here at night (though I've heard it's thrilling) but I had a lovely afternoon outside on the sidewalk. My mate and I ordered drinks and took in the scene and I found it delightful. I got a "Flamboyant" which was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Hibiscus and mint and you couldn't even taste the vodka. My friend had something with whiskey in it, which I reluctantly tried but it ended up being very tasty. I'd like to come back at night... but everyone should stop by one Sunday afternoon to cool down and people watch, too!
by Eura Brantley on 1 star for the atmosphere 1 for the friendly bartender Other than that...highly overpriced for what was offered. $6 for a beer out of a mason jar...it was good beer and I don't mind the jar, but... We just stopped in for a snack while trotting around the area. $14 for a cheese/charcuterie plate which I could have easily placed all of it in the palms of my hands...was a little overboard for the price. I like the atmosphere, however, I was sitting at the bar. The actual table seating didn't look all that comfortable.
by Margie on I love to go to Chances. This place has the best music. They have drink specials everynight of the week. Not to mention it's a great place to meet new and interesting people.
