I really love this place!  The decor is so cool and fun!  The place really has so much to offer - cool bar, fun rooftop, great restaurant.  Also, the kitchen is open until midnight. I love their drinks, especially the $40 bottle of champagne.  Food is pretty good, but it should be noted that it can best be described as family style.  our waitress told us it was tapas style so we all ordered 2 dishes.  Welllllll this resulted in a TON of food being delivered to our tables!  Mac and cheese, lettuce wraps, chicken satay and bbq quesadilla stand out to me.  I also loved the philly cheese steak eggroll.  It was huge, completely gluttonous, greasy, yet inventive.

The Playhouse is honestly my favorite venue in Hollywood right now. I go here occasionally for Monday Night Social. Here are the reasons why: 1. GREAT ventilation. As soon as you walk in through the entrance, a giant blast of refreshing cold air hits your entire body. No matter how hard you dance, you'll always be feeling clean, dry, and snazzy. 2. Sick LED light display behind the DJ booth although it'd be nice to see some new designs instead of reusing the same 10 screens or so repeatedly. 3. Sound system is crisp and clean. 4. Split level design is definitely a plus because it separates the people who want to dance from the people who want to drink/stand around. 5. Not overrun with washing machines unlike some other venues *ahem* Avalon. The only downside is that it's pretty small, and can get unbearingly packed when a big name DJ is spinning (the Hernan Cattaneo show was an absolute jamfest).

Take one visiting Frenchman, add 15 close friends, mix in enough alcohol to kill a village and you get one hell of a memorable night. Bruno's was the perfect place for our entourage because it has enough dance floors for everyone to shake some ass. The DJs played some great music in both rooms and the crowd really got into it. Bruno's has some good cocktails and the Mojitos are the best I have had outside of Miami. Although the did seem to be somewhat weak - or maybe anything other than vodka does not affect me anymore. By midnight I had switched to my trusty vodka shots and was well on my way to shitfaceville - population me. By the end of the night I had busted out my famous "I love you guys" line (that's how you know I am drunk). Reason #13 to go to Bruno's: the stripper pole in the Pussycat room Reason #47: the hot tall brunette with the tattoo on the back of her neck...sexy.
