by Bill W. on We dined here upon the advice of several people, based largely on the raves for the Mexican Martini. I admit, it was good! The plain ol' margaritas are good, too. The food, though, is heavy. I tried the stuffed avocado, and i have to advise others against it, unless you're a glutton for punishment. It's intriguing, but you may regret it the next day. It's a busy Saturday night place, nothing romantic about it, so definitely not a special event sort of venue.

It felt like a bad acid trip with 90's permed hair, leopard print camel-toed pants, and black light on tranny skin, salsing on tables and luring you in at the front door. It was entertaining for 5 minutes. Now please get me out of here.
by Cornelia Roaf on Bimbo's is a phenomenal space to see music. The space is just large enough to accommodate acts too big for Caf Du Nord, while still giving you that similar intimacy. Unfortunately they no longer seem to be booking bands I want to see. SuperDiamond? You can keep it. Style is timeless and this place has it in spades. Jacketed bartenders, white tablecloths and a bathroom attendant, all strait out of a time warp. The best part about this place is the fact that they will usually release tickets to sold out shows at the box office the day of. Not only are you given a chance at tix you slept on, as soon as you procure them you can head across the street to Kennedy's for a Guiness and Somosas.
