Delicious. Fantastic. Love. This place is very close to where I live and it's one of my regular spots. The service is always fantastic, drinks are great, and the food is AMAZING. It gets a little loud at times so if your with a big group at a popular time of any lunch or dinner service don't expect to be able to hear someone across the table. Regardless, it's one of the best Mexican spots in town. Food suggestion - tacos tacos tacos! I really like their shrimp and carne asada tacos. My dad seems to think the fish tacos are the best he's ever had. Their guac is good too. Drink suggestion - they infuse tequila with pineapple in-house and it is amazing. Their mojitos are great - so are their house margaritas. Yum.

YOU HAVE to try this. How do you pass up on $10 admissions when generally tickets are $25+!?  You don't.  Reasons why this is awesome and you should take full advantage while it lasts: - NO KIDS! (Must be 21 or older so don't bring your 18 yr old cause they WILL be denied... ) - Alcohol served! - Discounted admissions! - Live Music and exhibits (last nights was DJ Nako and the Robots exhibition...the weekend before, I was hammered and don't recall what the exhibit was...but it was FUN) - Awesome, mixed crowd of young adults and professionals.  Alot of people dress up (either in suits from getting off work or dresses+heels.  I was fine in jeans and boots :P) - Star/moon gaze on the living roof! Things to know: - Rainforest admission cuts off at 7:30pm in order for them to close it at 8pm. - Planetarium tickets go quickly so get there EARLY if you want them. - Drinks were kinda expensive ($15 for 2 dinky, mixed drinks...$6 domestic beer, $7 for all other beers, wine was like $9-$10? meh... we happy hour'd in teh car :) - No drinks around the coral reefs (where u can potentially drop it into the water...), near the albino alligator, or in the bathroom. - If you forgot to print out your tickets, go to the MEMBER TICKET SALES line!  (They'll reprint you tickets there...)  DON'T GO to the TICKET LINE on the far left side. Everyone looked like they were having a good time :)  Awesome experience!

SOOOOO!  Any one of my friends who reads this review might not understand why I am giving it 5 stars.  Im not even the clubber type...well, not anymore.  But last night I just went to my companies party here and I have to admit, it totally changed the way I look at the Highlands. With most clubs, you have two huge things that come into play. 1) The Venue & 2) The Scene Now in the past I have not had the best experiences here, as a matter of fact, I once went to the Big Daddy Kane concert after my friend guessed what KANE stands for (bonus points for those who know) on a radio station and we won tickets.  The tickets were supposed to be at the door but when we showed up the promoters where being the biggest dicks.  First they wouldnt let us go to the window to get the tickets if our names werent on the list and then they started talking shit about what we were wearing.  Okay, now, I wasnt in a suit but I consider myself to be a pretty decent dresser....well screw this place is what I thought and we left. BUT, is that really the venues fault? Another time I had a mediocre experience due to the fact that the night we went was a very bizarre crowd, and there was a fight....this is no good.  But I will say, the fight was broken up quickly by security and that was that.  +1 for the highlands and their speedy security. But, still not the venue's fault Now what Im supposed to be reviewing is the actual Highlands.  And as far as clubs go, its a GREAT location.  Gettting a chance to go their when your surrounded by cool, here to have a good time, drama-less people makes this place amazing.   The view from the top floor is AWESOME... I cant even remember if it was two or three stories but it felt like you went from one room to another to another to another.  All were having fun in all the rooms, it was just great and the service was proper too.  There were a lot of people at every bar and the bartenders handled themselves very well. And that is what I want in a club...if I went to clubs...
