Before I go on, I never actually went inside, this is my experience outside, in line, and with the bouncers. Round 1-- I tried to come here, maybe in January, but there were a lot of people here for a big football rival game or what not. The line was ridiculous, we waited and waited...it did not look promising, so we went to some bar nearby. So that was incident 1, no real blame on either party. Round 2-- Many before who have gone have told me no need to be on a guest list, but my friends checked and supposedly there was a special event, so we had to be on THE list. Done and done. We were in line at about 11:15 or so. Our first set of friends got there around 11:00 and got in fine. We were stuck outside, got the run around. Yes, they said we'd get in eventually. No, they are not letting anyone else in until people leave. We waited half an hour, saw many people leave, no one got in unless you forked over a few hundred for a table. Oh and fyi, they also let in girls with itty bitty dresses and lots of boob spillage. We wasted parts of our lives in this line. Slide - 1, Me - 0. Round 3-- Last night, my friends checked ahead of time and apparently no guest list was needed. They got there at 11:15 and got in, no problem. We called our friends to double check before we made our way over. Got the okay. Get there at 11:30. FIFTEEN minutes later, FIFTEEN!!! The line was not long, we got to the front, the bouncer said - no go unless you are on the guest list. You've got to be kidding me! Bouncer said, well, earlier it's okay not to be on the guest list, but now that it's later, you can only get in if you're on the list. Where in God's name does it say this? Where are these restrictions?! What is the cut off time?! At this point, I'm thinking...oh screw this! I'm partying it up at Jack in the Box with curly fries perhaps? Slide - 2, Me - 0 Obviously, we did not reveal enough boob spillage. Maybe, just maybe, if you were naked, then you don't have to be on the guest list and they'll let you in. Overall ridiculous experience. I guess I was never meant to go down that slide. Also apparently from my incidences, you have a 15 minute window where they will allow you entry and you better choose the right one or well, you die. No, you don't, but there was just no winning for me. We weren't meant to be.
by Josephine Drakulic on So I finally make it to the place I had been telling myself I wanted to go to for over a year. It was EVERYTHING i WANTED IT TO BE and MORE! Lovely "sexy" decor. I kinda felt like I stepped into "Love Jones pt II" when I entered. Everyone looked their BEST on a Monday nite! My friend and I sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender, we didn't know what what wanted to drink, he told us we was a "simplistic" bartender he didn't specialize in fancy drinks. I told him he was just lazy. But alas I am a Long Island chic, he recommended a Makers & Ginger Ale. Which I must say was PRETTY nice...I would have NEVER ordered that on my own. We had the Mussels which had a GREAT flavor! My only issues was that they made them "fancy" on the plate which means you get much less. What can I say? I'm greedy! My friend ordered the Red Velvet Cupcake with ice cream which was REALLY good! Overall, I will definitely be back. The atmosphere was definitely something I enjoy.
