Not that I had any expectations for a restaurant that doubles as a nightclub (or if I did they would be VERY low), but Infusion Lounge still managed to disappoint. The only reason I came was because a friend received an email about a $10 shrimp & crab boil special they were having. So I thought, it's so cheap it could go one of two ways: 1) the cheap price is indicative of the quality of food, or 2) combined with my lowered expectations I could end up being pleasantly surprised. (It also took over half an hour before anything came out of the kitchen so I was absolutely famished. So really, there were 3 things in their favour since food tends to taste better when you're hungry.) Unfortunately, it went the former way. For the most part, the food was god awful. There were a few highlights but it was hard to tell whether those dishes were actually good or if it was merely a gastronomical illusion that made them taste better compared to the rest of the food. We were all originally gonna get the shrimp & crab boil, but when we found out Wednesdays were "Buy One Get One" (i.e. buy one appetizer get one free, buy one entree get one free, and so on), we changed our game plan and ordered items off their regular--and regularly somewhat-overpriced--menu. Between the 6 of us we had: *SHRIMP & CRAB BOIL ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...): Just as you'd expect from a $10 shrimp & crab boil--AWFUL! The king crab legs weren't fresh and the meat was dry. Even worse was the broth; it tasted fishy and strangely burnt. Those flavours seeped into everything (shrimp, crab, sweet potatoes, yams, corn) and made them all taste "off". The shrimp, otherwise, was decent. *CRAB NOODLES ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...): One of two good dishes in the bunch (but really, that's not saying much). The green curry sauce was yummy and there were lots of crab meat (which, unlike the crab in the boil, tasted fine). The menu describes this dish as "spicy" but it was actually really mild. Also, the portion was rather small and definitely not worth the regular price of $15. *PAN-FRIED TERIYAKI BEEF NOODLES ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...): Could've been good since the flavours were there, but unfortunately they way oversalted this dish and rendered it inedible. I could only stomach 3 small bites. (And this is from a person who loves salt--as a kid I would eat chicken bouillion straight from the can when my mom wasn't looking...) *FRIED RED RICE WITH EGGS & VEGETABLES ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...): At first, I didn't like it much and thought it was rather bland. But it grew on me, perhaps because it provided a nice refuge after the teriyaki beef noodles. I liked the crunchy red rice kernels too. *SAUTEED GREEN BEANS: Really? This dish is regularly $9!? Not only were they undercooked they were the blandest thing on the table. Seems to me the teriyaki beef noodles need to learn to share some of its sodium. *GINGER-SCALLION KENNEBEC FRIES ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...): Crispy with strong ginger and scallion flavours. I like! The only good thing about this dinner was getting to spend time with my girls.

If you are Asian you will like this place. You will find that its like a 80 percent asian crowd. Its beautiful but the wait to get in is terrible EVEN FOR PROMOTERS i am use to skipping the line and MODELS SKIPPING the LINE but here none of that shit lol, i have had one night 27 models come out in which we had a table with bottles even amongst Grey Goose every single female wanted to ditch Hiro and go to Tenjune so that speaks volumes and that was my last night there. Drinks are watered down if you are a comp which means a free admission (you know if a promoter told you U will be in free) then once you get to the door and they try to give you a reduced ticket stand up for yourself and say " hold on  I dont pay for clubs, I party at every club for free" I am sure they will throw you a ticket after that lol and ummmmm the security is terrible and GHETTO But beautiful place

I stumbled here before I hit the bpm party last week with 2 Live Crew. This big booty hoe was wit' it! It's an inviting dark little bar in the front flanked by 2 flat screens. There's a stripper pole off to the right of bar, seating areas (yes!!!), smoking patio in the back, clean little lavatory, man they did a great job taking the scum off the walls! This place was Goldfingers which was as dank and seedy as you got but they had some good shows here back in the days. Still I used to be afraid of the toilet- now they santizied and redecorated- worthy of a HGTV spotlight, yo! Come for happy hour on Wednesday nights- it's less hectic, you can talk to you friends and bartender/owner Brad is always happy to suggest drinks or change the channel to Food Network at your request (my obsession with FN follows me to the bars now.) They have pitchers!!! So chip in for your broke ass homies! Also, you can always order food and have it delivered- ask Brad for the menu! Thursdays is Clockwork where DJ Rocky Rock from Black Eyed Peas runs the decks.  Fridays and Saturdays are great for your usual getting out there and trying to hook up scene. It's a bevy of beauties and some cute boys to be had fer sure!!! I freakin' love this place- it's not all attitudey, people are real here and they are just plain fucken nice for real- very rare in LA.
