by Nick C. on One of the places I stopped at on my 21st B-day. Looking back on the night I have to say I had a great time at this place. Great food, Great atmosphere, Pretty interesting layout. I was lucky enough to get a discount on my food and some complimentary drinks due to one of my friend's knowing someone who works here. All that aside, the food was good (short ribs that tasted like it was simmered in this delicious sauce for hours and talk about fall off the bone). The drinks were not watered (important at a place that charges good money) The atmosphere and decor at this place has a nice cozy and warm feel to it, dinner time they have all their tables out, then late night they take them away and have couches and a nice sized dance floor. Upstairs is a cool place to hang out and watch the action. And the best part is the balcony bar, get a bunch of friends together and have a drink, check out the view of the city, and be warm with the table side heaters. I am more than happy that I spent a part of my 21st B-day here, friends, pretty girls, good drinks and food, good selection of diverse music, and a nice view of the city...what more can you ask for? ***On a side note: To avoid the $10 cover charge, come here before they turn it into a dance club and have a great dinner, then you can stay for the music and rooftop bar. Or if you are on a budget, come here with a bunch of friends, order 1 thing, split the bill and then proceed to enjoy the club, girls/guys, and rooftop bar.
by Pansy Beaureguard on Couple of Saturdays ago the music was off the hook. They had a live trumpet player blasting away to the house music which was just awesome. That was the only highlight of the night. Well, okay. Close proximity to a parking garage for $6 all night long wasn't too shabby either. HOWEVER: The guest list line wrapped all the way around the corner and didn't budge for 15 minutes. Don't bother with the guest list. Pay the 20 bucks and scoot right in. It's not worth the wait! The bouncer shuffled some girls in front of us just to make the guy/girl ratio even for the group. What? That was not cool. The drinks were over priced and watered down. Not to mention it takes FOREVER. The clientele have absolutely no respect for others that have been patiently waiting their turn. They will literally shove their hands over peoples heads to get the waiter's attention, or even place their arm right between you and your friend and try to shuffle their body in front or next to you to cut in line. Inappropriate. The above action is a result from the type of crowd. If you are looking for an upscale environment and crowd, this is not the place to go to. Despite the disappointment, the music was still good. I give it that. Not much else to say about this place.
