by Tashia Miklitz on After reading some of these reviews, I prepared for the worst. A friend was having a Birthday party with tables/bottle service on a Saturday night. Parking can be a little challenging (which I knew beforehand) so I parked at Ellis/O'Farrell garage which is about 1/2 block away from infusion lounge. Parking was only $10. Me and my buddy (2 dudes), arrived a little before the birthday party. There was absolutely no issues getting in. We were on the guest list and we walked straight through. No cover for us. We were escorted downstairs to where the 2 tables were. Since we were a little early, we went to the bar and got a couple of drinks. Bar tender was quick and 2 Vodkas cost about $24.00. Yes, a little pricey, but not unheard of. Personally, my experience with the "bouncers" and other security staff was pretty good. They were pleasant, polite and were basically doing their jobs. Even when we went out for some air, we were promptly allowed in without any issues. The inside decor was pretty nice. Was definitely very nicely decorated and clean. Ample staff inside and even someone in the bathroom "directing traffic". Go go dancers were nice and the DJ played some great tunes. All and all, I had a great time even though my "clubbing" days are pretty much over.

A friend and I were headed to a birthday party at Anchor Bar, but when we got there we weren't quite ready for the darkness, loud music, and crazy dancing that is the Anchor Bar experience. My friend said she'd heard of an historic beer bar just down the street, so we decided to stop into the Ear Inn for a couple of drinks before going back to Anchor Bar. Ear Inn was FANTASTIC. It's incredibly old and has a small, quaint atmosphere. It's crowded with lots of small tables and wooden chairs and the bar had more than several aged regulars that looked permanently parked at their stools. The two people behind the bar had authentic Irish accents and were incredibly friendly. The service was so-so, but the drinks were good and the crowd was fun. Not great for large crowds and there's obviously no dancing, but perfect if you and a couple of friends are looking for a casual place with an old-school neighborhood dive bar feel to it.
by Tyisha Konzal on I wanted to like this place but I got turned off by $25 cover, $3 semi-mandatory coat check(so pushy!!), unnecessary bag and pocket search like an airport security(do I look like a terrorist or drug dealer??), long wait just to get inside the club (15-20 min wait on Thurs. night ??? Mind you, we already had purchased advance tickets too!!), and the mediocre cheesy house/techno music. Sooo not cool! I didn't mind paying $25 if the DJ was awesome, but unfortunately whoever that was spinning that night sucked.Just don't go when it's Miami Night! The space was rather too small, but I dig the giant disco balls. As for the whole decor, I expected more poshness considering all the hype that surrounds this place. Crowd was an interesting mix of European tourists, trendy hipsters, buff gay men, hardcore techno clubbers dancing like Jabba Walkies, Indian yappies, Middle Eastern trust fund babies, and some normal middle-class Asians like me. Although I still had a fun night , I won't come back unless there's a cooler DJ like Adam Freeland DJing.
