Suite 181 use to be the business! The people were cool, the interior was lovely! And I didn't worry about drinks because I would come buzzed hahaha (you all know you've done it at one point).....Now the tables have turned, it's just not the same anymore........It's not hella bad......just mediocre.....but what's worst is that I have to pay $20 to get into a club is just "alright"........No thanks I'll be at home alseep spending my $20 on food, and a movie.

hahaha so its not THAT bad of a place, but is really just whatever. also is small and too crowded. Here are my key impressions. first of all, even if you get a table, the tables are a a joke, really small, and people are practically dancing on top of your stuff (aka lets spill the patron on the floor yay hehe) second of all, if you buy a round of drinks, they include gratuity?? Come on really? What is this fine dining, 20% for a shot? third of all, the music was just not so good.

rateclubs saves the day again! I was looking for a new place to grab brunch on Saturday and stumbled upon the reviews for Cafe Lift. I was immediately smitten and jumped in the car right away to get a table. Luckily, we didn't even have to wait! There were so many yummy things on the menu that it took me about 10 minutes to decide (I ended up going with the Crispelle with crabmeat, spinach, tomatoes and cheese - DELISH! I decided savory over sweet, but damn, those pancakes with homemade whipped cream looked amazing). The service was great, and they kept the La Columbe coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice flowing. Just a few helpful tips for you: 1) You need a key to go to the single serve bathroom (which is very nice, btw) and 2) It's cash only, so be prepared. The owners are opening a new bar/restaurant on the next block called Prohibition - I'm looking forward to checking it out. In the meantime, I'll be coming back to Cafe Lift to brunch it up on a regular basis.
