by Minh Cazaree on Been going to Abbey for quite some time now and it never fails to deliver a fabulous night out. A large bar with a huge selection of drinks, pool table, darts, good music, and a lively crowd, doesn't get much better than that! The place was recently renovated and it looks great, especially the bathrooms and you know how bad bar bathrooms can be ladies! They always show Games, UFC, and on some nights have special bands play. So if your looking for a great spot to have a fun night out get your butt to the abbey and have yourself a pint!
by Hipolito Piek on Why can't this place stay closed? It's the lead zombie in a bad horror flick. I'm seconding the "burn this place to the ground" suggestion and would recommend sprinkling salt over the ashes to make sure it stays down.
by erin e. on I am a pretty big fan of this place, even though I don't typically prefer places like this. I'd have given if five stars if the bouncers didn't tend to be so self-righteous and unjustifiably arrogant. Perhaps this is guided by the management, who holds the line so the place oozes "trendy NYC" even more than it already does. In any case, once inside, it is easy to get a drink, there are plenty of places to sit and people are usually pretty friendly about squishing in, etc. The dj's are really the highlight, playing really great late 80's early 90's hits (hip-hop, mostly) that is really fun to sing and even occasionally dance to. This is the first "lounge" that I've been to in Boston/Cambridge that actually lives up to its name.
