by Giuseppe Ohanian on My friends arranged their farewell party here one Friday. We received a couple of nice tables upstairs, had some drinks, wine, and the lamb dish was quite good. So far so good. But after a couple of hours the problems started. Our host told us that we can actually not stay there any longer, because the tables are no longer reservable. After long discussions she told us that if we pay $250 for a bottle we can get a table. Well, I did not want the night to be spoiled so I paid for it and we were guided to a table closeby. We took a look around us, and the area where we had been sitting was totally empty, so we knew there was something fishy hoing on. And in order to stay we had to order more $250 bottles. So after a while I asked my friend who lives nearby if we could go to their place instead (everything else packed on a Friday), which we did. Because of me and my friend the evening was not a disaster for my other friends who were moving abroad, but neither me or my (many) friends will go to Medjool again. Ever.
by Trent Arvay on I went here this past weekend and I can't complain much about this place! It's a nice sports bar/restaurant. There were lots of TV screens on the walls and they were large...so if you are looking for a place where there isn't a bad seat in the house, Jillian's is the place to be. Overall, I liked the setting of the booths and tables. The mirrored wall was an excellent addition to the setup. The food was delicious. We had the buffalo wings for starters and it was cooked to perfection. We also had the pasta dish and grilled salmon. Our server was awesome. She filled our glasses up before we finished them and always made sure that we were satisfied with the food and service. I'd definitely come back!
by Jenn H. on WTF this place has really gone downhill. I ate here twice last week and neither time was impressive. Meal one: My turkey burger was so dry and yucky that I only ate the avocado off the top. The burger was like hockey puck. The bun was a little stale. The fries were okay. The waitress did not notice my disdain. Meal two: Seriously the worst grilled cheese Panini I ever had. The sweet potato fries were okay but didn't hold a candle to Fez fries. I do like purse hooks at the bar. I remember a time when Delux served delicious food that was well prepared and um..actually tasted good. Now two sucky sandwiches later I long for the yesteryear of Delux. Even the a la care fries lost their charm. Step it up Delux you are losing me!
