OK, let me start by saying, I LOVE THIS PLACE. The food is always great, the service is wonderful, the variety and selection are fantastic. This has to be my favorite bar in all of Philadelphia. I am never disappointed whether I'm eating a cheeseburger or some empanadas... and for dessert some tiramisu or creme brulee. The great thing is, this place is not pretentious. The prices are fair and they have quality everything. It's also a great place to enjoy numerous bands. If I could give it 10 stars I would :)

We took our daughter and her boyfriend to Parish last night, and overall, I would say that it was a very pleasant dining experience. For starters, the decor is an appealing mix of aged elegance and comfort. Score a big one for Parish on this point. We were delighted with the Beer Can Chicken Turnover appetizer, and my entree of Mississippi Stuffed Catfish was absolutely delicious, particularly the savory bed of maque choux on which the fish was served. The wine list was quite interesting, featuring many unique imported varietals that we don't see often around town. However, I must say that although the food may have been four- to five-star, the service was flatly one-star. I will not go into more detail other than to say that with a more positive, attentive focus on the part of the waitstaff, this place could easily emerge as one of the best restaurants in the city. The valets were the friendliest members of the staff. Despite the negatives (and overall, they are quite easily correctable) I'm hoping to visit again soon, because I think Parish is truly a novel addition to the Atlanta dining scene.
