by Kathleen T. on The first 2 times I came here I HATED the experience at the front door. They were horrible at letting people in. I waited more than an hour and for a good hour, we didn't move at all. Lately when I go, I haven't had to wait at all, then again, I learned to come on a Thursday night. The music is great and the dancers always get the guys google eyed. I have a good time here. PS. I love my bartender at the front corner of the bar. He's amazing up there!!
by Raul Kyker on Being a fan of Iron Chef (and Morimoto being my favorite one) I had high expectations of this place, and it definitely delivered. I have always been amazed by Morimoto's creative way of preparing food. Also, the decor is absolutely beautiful, modern, clean, and hip. And the food tastes absolutely incredible. I ordered the ishi yaki buri with king yellowtail (also available with kobe beef) which is prepared at your table in a hot river bowl. The fish sizzles in the bowl with egg, and mixes with the rice. It warms the belly in a comforting way. I stole some of my friends sea bass off his place and it just melted in my mouth. I haven't even tried the sushi yet! A great place to go when you have a little extra cash to spend.
by Barton Leshem on It's always fun to see new SF places.....when it's still shiny and new...especially when it's yet to "officially" open... We went for the "soft" opening early August, my hot date Jen and I....and it was a night to remember. I am excited for Sloane to finish and expand but for now, I enjoy the space, the crowd, the music...the drinks? They could be improved....mixed reviews for the bartenders. It's a good crowd, sans ghetto and newly legal crowd...more mature and mixed...my fave. I recommend Sloane. We ended up meeting the owner and he seems to be a great guy...We shall be back again...
