by Jessica H. on this experience leaves a lot to be desired. while on line, i witnessed an uncomfortable exchange between staff and a group of attractive asian girls who felt they were being discriminated against. these girls were not the trouble-making kind, but instead were frustrated over the treatment they received from the folks at the door. some crude, choice words were uttered by two men at the helm and then it was over. coincidentally, they used the same promoter from http://boomset.comwhich i used and neither of us gained entry (despite frequent exchanges throughout the week). i really don't know the clientele they're trying to attract, but with service like that, i encourage you to try a different club and promoter. there's plenty around. they both dropped the ball.
by Salvador Cordeiro on I came here for a catered holiday party, so this review is for the service, the food, and the venue--but I didn't stay for the club part. I was honestly really pleasantly surprised by this place. I always hated the little ally-way clubs in SOMA (having lived near there for 2 years, they always creeped me out). But once you step inside, this place is very nice! It didnt smell like a bar/club (bonus points!) and it wasnt underground (more bonus points!). It was decked out with some holiday decor, which was cute. It was very spacious, and there was plenty of seating at the party. The food was decent--they serve southern cookin'! It was decent but really salty--as I suppose can be expected from southern food. Still, I am not a fan of super salty things, so it was just ok. Their dessert--heavenly. GET THE RED VELVET CUPCAKES. You can't possibly be disappointed. My girlfriend and I ate 3 of them together! They also had mini pecan pies, which were heavenly. The service was great--everyone was super accommodating and nice to all of us! The bartenders were really attentive. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I would definitely recommend this place for company holiday parties... I'll leave the club experiences to other reviewers.
by Kraig Deckard on This is what is wrong with the sport of bowling. I went there the other day and it just appears way too corporate. I should have known when there were only two other cars in the parking lot and they must have been from the three employees inside. When you walk in it is very elegant and very very posh and high class. I almost felt like walking right out since I was only wearing a t shirt and shorts and I felt as though I did not belong. I had my bowling bag and the gentleman asked if I needed shoes... I was appointed a "chaperon" if you will and guided to my lane. The cost is 4 dollars a game. My chaperon asked if I wanted anything to drink or eat. I just asked for a cup of water, which I did not finish. The lanes are clouded a bit with dim lighting and the pins are bright white. It seems like it would be great for a huge corporate party, but I am not that kind of high roller.. ha ha get it. Well take it for what it is... but I will not go again.
