The Good: The interior design is very classy, inspired by a 1960s photography studio. Elegant bookshelf with a variety of photography manuals, magazines and books stands against the wall on stage, where a baby grand sits proudly in the middle, coaxing musicians of the A-list and the D-list to its smooth keys. The columns supporting the rooms look like stoic statues of lingerie-clad bodies, with a criss-cross detail going down their wooden spines. VIP booths aplenty, there is room for the big shots (and their arm candy), so those who have no dancing skills can be wallflowers and still look popular. Those who do want to dance have a variety of songs at their disposal, from Top 40 (not my favorite) to house (unfortunately, toward the end). The Bad: The entrance is covered with bouncers who look like heavy buoys, floating around in the sea of sharks and scantily clad piranhas. It's a vicious survival of the fittest, the slimmest, and the hottest, all vying to get to the other side. The Ugly: Once inside, beware of cliques, posses, and sorority girls. (Challenge: try to tell them apart. Extra points if you get it right on the first round.)

The downstairs "club" is hilariously unappealing. My purse was searched with a mini flashlight before entering the crowded, yucky, dingy basement. What, am I going to assault someone with my lipgloss?  A group of friends who arrived before us were smart to just dance by themselves off in a corner.  If you ventured to the main dance area, you were liable to humped, pummeled and yes neck-rolled by certain women who didn't seem to appreciate our presence. If you enjoy the song "Gasolina" and watching unspeakable acts on the dancefloor, come to this joint,  Afterall, it's free!

I'll start by saying Cafe Circa has excellent service! From the warm greeting at the front to the excellent service my boyfriend and I received at our table. Our server was attentive and willing to answer any and ALL questions that we the had (we had a lot!). This was our first time at circa and we were debating whether to Restaurant Week Menu or the regular menu! We choose the Restaurant Week menu. Our server, Ashley, and she didn't mind helping us make decisions and she smiled a lot which was great! I choose the plantain tasting, my boyfriend has the conch fritters, we both had the snapper, let me say THE WAS AMAZING! My compliments to the chef! The decor was great, the service was excellent, and the food was amazing. Now GET RID of that annoying manager, Charles, and the restaurant would get 5 stars out of me! He talked us to DEATH and tried his darndest to get us to buy things we didn't want VERY annoying! All and All this place is GREAT I'd recommend it to anybody!
