by Joanne H. on I decided to have my birthday party at sloane. After sending out an invitation, I linked all of my friends to the sloane website to RSVP. I also told my friends to get to sloane early so they can get in and not have to pay the $10 cover after 11. At 1015 pm, I literally received a bunch of texts from friends that were freaking out about the guest list. Apparently, a bunch of them signed up and their names were not on the list. They said they weren't the only ones but the people in front and behind them in line were also not on the list. This was a common thing that night. After figuring out the guest list business, we went inside. The bar was huge. The dance floor, well, what they call the dance floor was disappointing. The space is smaller then my bedroom, literally! I feel as though the smoking area is bigger than the dance floor. Over all this tiny bar is...tiny. Drinks were normal price, $10 each. It also got extremely crowded we couldn't even move from one end of the place to the other end. A huge chunk of my friends that got there at 1130 were turned away because it was so packed inside. They ended up leaving because there was no hope. I ended up leaving at 1230ish to meet up with friends else where. All in all... the place was ok. Not really a birthday dance the night away kind of place. Also, it took me three days to get a hold of bottle service, which we ended up not doing, thank god!
by Nikia Weidemann on Ever thought about celebrating your birthday somewhere that could accommodate large groups of people? I did, for weeks. After debating on searching for the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday, I decided to have it here at Busby East. We got bottle service and it was fairly cheap. We were given 3 tables (1 bottle for each table) and of course there were sofas and seats all around the area for our taking as well. Plenty of mixers to choose from. Being the birthday boy, I had no idea how much the drinks cost. Having free drinks was the only pro. The con, the inevitable hangover the next day and your friends trying to get you absolutely wasted. Busby East was everything I expected and more. It was my type of place to hang out and get a few drinks. The environment is very laid back. You could sit back, relax, and just chill. If you feel like getting down and dancing, you can do too. Pool tables, tv's, bar area, dance floor, this place has something for everyone. Great place to reenact The Hangover if you know what I mean. After all, I woke up the next morning on my bed, not knowing how I got there with the biggest headache in the world. I somehow managed to have Mike Tysons tiger in my bathroom which totally freaked me out. At least all my teeth were in tact. Good times, good times indeed.
