by Leah G. on Bobby is not getting much rateclubs love . . . but I stopped in last night, sampled the Philly Burger . . . judge me all you want, but I thought it was delectable. And the woman who took my order made me audibly laugh twice. That deserves credit in my book.
by Ignacio Derienzo on The only reason I'm not giving Flip 5 stars is because their staff looked like they were being forced to work there. Not one person smiled or had anything nice to say. We had a huge party for a birthday and as a server, I understand that big parties can be a hassle, especially when everyone wants seperate checks. We knew going in that there would be no seperate checks however, Neil, our server made sure to repeat several times that there would be no seperate checks. He also made sure to never smile and roll his eyes whenever anyone asked for something. He was really rude to one person in our party when she mentioned that he had not brought back her credit card. I will go back there for the food- which was excellent! I had the mushroom swiss burger and everyone shared the fries, onion rings, and other sides. The mayo that came with the fries was AMAZING! it had a great smokey flavor that really complimented the fries. I didn't have any of the milkshakes but I will once I go back.
by Noe Bouse on People at this bar (and in Austin, generally) seem to try too hard. I'm honestly not trying to be rude, but this bar attracts all the kids that Urban Outfitters and American Apparel threw up on. I do have a good time here, in general, and they do have pretty good DJs sometimes and I like the outdoor area. But the sight of the ultra-hipster crowd gets kind of ridiculous after a couple of hours. Oh, and sorry for falling asleep in the bathroom that one time.
