So, this opened up while I'm pregnant so I havent tried the drinks here. But I have gone here for birthdays during happy hour, and the food Ive had is great, which shocked me, but I would come back here many times to eat during happy hour, and after the baby to have a drink. This is a nice place to be able to go out to while pregnant and not have cigarette smoke around me and be able to sit on a comfy seat. (during happy hour though, I hear at night it is much more crowded) HOWEVER! Service here sucks, finding your waitress is absolutely impossible. And the door men? My boyfriend was meeting me here after work for my mothers birthday, in front of him walks in a very very heavy girl wearing short jean shorts, a tank top, and flip flops, no problem. He is dressed nicely but oh no hes wearing white sneakers, he cant come in. Im sorry but if theyre trying to get people to spend money on drinks, I'm pretty sure hed spend more money on drinks then that girl getting drinks bought for her. (I have nothing against heavy people, but theyre priding themself on this dresscode, yet women dressed very under dressed and unflattering to their figure get in no problem, whats up with that?)

Sadly, people here seem to be rating the COMICS and not the club.  The comedy is great, but The Improv sucks, and here's why. 1)  "VIP Tickets" are handed out for the asking, but without one you have to pay.  It's kinda dumb. 2)  The managers are terrible.  The tables all had 4 chairs except ours, which had a 5th chair pushed in.  I pulled it out so I could sit comfortably when some fat sweaty female manager comes and shoves the chair back in on me.  I asked her to take it away because we didn't need it, but she said she had no where to put it (lie) and left me uncomfortable.  What happened to service and accommodating the customer?  Just put down the Twinkies and move the chair OK? 3)  They sneak in an 18% tip on the entire bill, AFTER TAX, and pre-print it on the bill making it appear mandatory.  Bullshit!  First, you never tip on the tax.  That's just dumb.  Second, they can set their prices, they can have a cover charge or a minimum, but they can't FORCE me to tip some arbitrary amount that THEY decide.... that's NOT a "tip", that's a fee, and I'm no having it.  I encourage you to cross out the pre-printed amounts and write your own total. 4)  The door guy is an idiot.  One of our party was 20, and when he was carded at the door the dumb bouncer says "oh you just made it", presumably referring to his birthday, but he just turned 20, not 21, and his license said in bold red print "NOT 21 UNTIL 2010".  Seriously, how dumb do you have to be to screw up something so obvious when it's your ONE job? The comedy was good, but the management and food and beverage side of the business needs and over haul.

It was a little confusing at first which one was the nightclub-Little Baobab or Bissap Baobab and if they shared similar menus. One thing was for sure-they both didn't open for dinner until 6pm. The setting is really nice and the food delicious. My friend had the vegetarian curry and I tried some of hers and I had the coconut shrimp thing w/ rice. Both was very nicely presently and very rich. Very rich. The portions aren't huge, but they're filling. And very rich. I think I might have gotten a little sick from mine because I was constipated and my stomach from unsettled after mine. It tasted so good though. The service could be better. Our waitress in the green dress seemed too cool for school and I got the impression that she was rolling her eyes at our every request but she didn't give us any lip. It's a small kitchen and the Mexican cooks were really friendly and nice-more so than the waitress actually.
