i'm a happy hour semi-regular.....many of the bartenders are wonderful and have extremely pleasant personalities....they are very welcoming and do a great job, by all accounts.....a few, on the other hand, just can't seem to be bothered.....they aren't attentive and they'll get locked-into conversations with other patrons and just forget (or not care) that they are the only one behind the bar.....a few of them just don't really have any interaction with the patrons at all and just seem to stare into space.....at least the one doofus they moved from behind the bar to wait tables instead....maybe they don't want to be there and if that's the case, move along!!....it always surprises me that this place will have like 10 people working there, but only ONE person behind the bar.....there's 1-2 management people there, and the door guy and the table service guy or two and multiple people in the kitchen (even when they have very little food going out), but only ONE guy behind the bar....crazy!!.....by all accounts, the music is just plain DISMAL during happy hour....many people can't even identify the um "artist" singing and they show these crappy videos on the many tv's around the room.....even the satellite music channel at East West bar across the street, is 1,000 better than the crap at eleven......the food has improved greatly over time, but they just can't seem to get that aspect moving/profitable....monday nights are extremely popular with the broadway music crowd and it's a hoot to go on ocassion......other than that, what i have to say to eleven is, why have you given up???.....it just seems like maybe the owners/managers are bored with the place or something, i dunno.....theyve tried and failed to do a few things over the years, but keep trying!!!.....there has to be other ideas that are just as fun/popular as broadway night, no?......sing-along night?....karaoke? karaoke was extremely popular at East West until poor tragic "Trip" (appropriate name), the owner, had a fight with Kenny, the karaoke god, and kicked him out; now the place is dead on tues night......elleven, get the place moving, it has much more potential than where it sits now.....perhaps the weekend night profit is all you care about????.....if it were MY investment, i'd be on top of it.......

After much salivating I got my butt to this place to finally try their meal. First it's in a shady area but if you are just going to eat and peace out, then the area doesn't really affect anything. Cool thing is that you can park in the rite aid lot across the street, that's a sense of safety that your vehicle is okay at least while you eat. They have guards in the lot who are there more or less to make sure stray people don't park there...they'll tow you with the quickness I'm sure. I did make reservations 3days prior BUT for some reason when I got there, there was some miscommunication AS IF I never made reservations. It turned out okay because my party as accommodated nonetheless rather quickly. But I can't help but wonder what happened to my reservation despite the fact that I call even the morning off to confirm? The place is def best for groups, it just has that atmosphere. The food is relatively inexpensive for the portion you get and everything was delicious. For a party we really just ordered 1 of the appetizer platters because the party trickled in but if everyone is there..I would recommend 1-2 of the appetizer platters because it has a lot included. Drinks, I had the Caprihina. Just one cause I had another place to be and I needed to be sober to get there safely. My friend had one of their fresh juices. I had the broiled snapper which was very good. Rarely do I eat fish that's cooked/grilled/broiled that has much flavor it of itself. Usually they pour some sauce on it to give it flavor. But the snapper here was just flavorful. My meal came with plantain and this huge ass side salad that looked like a meal itself. Just for future reference, if u are not going to eat the salad, ask them NOT to bring it because it was just wasted and now thinking bad, I felt bad. Don't waste food. The only downside was that the waiter was a bit slow for the party. He had other customers but sometimes it took him too long to come back. We needed water refills and that took a while. Overall tho, they were gracious. I would recommend this place to others. I def wanna go back to try their brunch menu, dessert menu & other things. oh they have a club upstairs that starts pumping music around 9pm

Arrived at 10:45pm on a Saturday night, two ridiculously long lines around the block! Don't expect to make guestlist unless you come super super early. This first floor of the club is pretty spacious. I would recommend getting all of your drinks there. The bartender was friendly and made my drinks pretty darn strong! The second floor, however, was JAMPACKED with people, barely any room to breathe, let alone dance. I managed somehow though =) Music: 1st floor house, 2nd floor hip hop (meh.)Overall, this place is NOT worth the $20 cover charge. I'd prefer a place with better music and more dancing room.
