Came across this place on a Wednesday night with 3 other people after eating at Mels. It was still early (around 10PM) so there was no cover charge, there was no line, but the bouncer/security guys looked intimidating. They're huge and tall! Asked what's going on tonight and came in. (nothing was going on, just a regular weekday.) Only about 3-4 groups were in the club/lounge. Very nice decor, asian inspired. Very red. Top of the stairs is setting up and closed for bottle service. We sat at a table in one corner (didn't want to sit at the bar at first), but then after about 20 mins a guy came up and said that's gonna be for bottle service so have to move. Move to bar area and most seats were already taken. Drinks were okay before 11, and was warned that prices go up after 11. Then the club filled up with all kinds of people! Great crowd. Great music. Nice go go dancers. Stayed til almost 1. Will come back if have a chance (weekends is better)

La Covacha, or the Cove to college students (please don't call it the cove...) is not my favorite place. I used to go here when I was in high school because it was the only place I could get in. Now I only go here early on Friday nights to pre-game for better places because the beers are on special. The guys here are generally creepers so girls, if you are going alone, bring a token gay friend or something to keep the hoards of creepy old latin guys off you. They did a nice job of renovating it -- it used to be 4 walls and a straw roof. I'll give them credit -- they are trying to class the place up. But in the end, it's generally hard to get my friends to go and the only way I go in by getting bribed into $2 beers.

Went here for Bhangra night. That's right. Bhangra night. They played Indian music all night and we danced to it. They even offer lessons if you get there early enough (I think around 7). The venue was nice. Not too big, not too small. They have a stage where people can shake it. I am only giving them three stars because I do have to point out that they are also a bit expensive considering- around $17 at the door (cheaper with a flyer), $5 for coat check, and $11 per drink (which was served in an 8oz PLASTIC cup - classy, right?).
