by Alva Valcourt on This was one of the first places that we visited when we moved to Atlanta and the aquarium immediately gave us a positive impression of this city. I have gone to a lot of 3-D movies at the cinema since we have lived in Atlanta but the best 3-D movie I have probably ever seen is the one in the orientation video in the aquarium. Some of the little cartoon fishes look like they are literally so close to you that you can touch them. The aquarium itself is huge and we did manage to see most of everything although we there for a long time, it took us all day. They have every type of sea life that you can imagine. I didn't have a favorite part, I liked all of it from the beluga whales to the slowly moving walkway that let you look up at all of the fish, sharks, etc. They also had a tank that that allowed you to touch stingrays and it was aimed more towards small children.......but I liked it and I wasn't the only adult there enjoying it also:) They also had a part that was like a big open room where all of the family's could sit down on the floor together and watch a giant the fish swimming around through a giant window. They also had feeding time while we were there and watching the whale sharks eat was especially cool. It gets crowded here on the weekends as you may expect and I would eat before you come here because they have a restaurant but the food was so expensive that I would look inside the food after each bite to see if it had gold filling inside of it,LOL.
by Terrell Elbaz on I celebrated my b-day there with some friends. I took up the corner cabana suite for a few nights and it's a lovely space. It accesses the pool just a few drunken steps away and has your own private little fire pit which is invaluable. This place is classic Hollywood, truly a timeless spot. I'm not sure I'd go back without getting that cabana suite because that makes it experience a true Roose experience. The concierge was helpful in getting me table reservations at nearby Les Deux. He definitely got it handled and got my group in no problem and set us up on that 2nd floor upstairs room which is the most private spot in the house. Prince actually had the table right next to mine. Sweet. I also partied there and setup a table by the pool and it was a magical time. I'd definitely go back there again. Just do what you gotta do to get the cabana suite. It's pricey, but it's well worth the price of admission because you'll never forget it.
by Kelsey E. on Wow....wow. There's a lot of hating going on but let me tell you, this might've been one of the best nights out at a club in my life. I had a group of 5 girls/5 guys on Tuesday, and we didn't know a promoter, but one started talking to us so we not only got in for free, we got the VIP treatment with a table and unlimited bottles. Ummmmm ridiculous. And yes, I know that doesn't happen for everyone so my experience was special, so to review the club itself... Gorgeous is the key word here. Gorgeous decor, gorgeous lighting, gorgeous people (who generally know they are gorgeous). And what put it over the top? People got CRAZY! On the tables, dancing like mad. They weren't too stuck up or self conscious to let loose, and you know how I like to let loose in the club. If you can make it in, it's beyond worth the hype.
