Worst stay I have had at a Starwood property, period. To start: my travel profile says high floor, away from elevators.  They put me in a room which had (1) the recycling machine below it, (2) trucks and loading dock below it, (3) service halls with casters rolling on concrete all night behind the headboard wall, (4) situated next to elevators, and (5) I think there was an employee lounge outside because of noisy employees behind the walls all night.  When I queried earlier in the evening I was told they couldn't accommodate a room change (admittedly, all hotels in the Atlanta were sold out). The driver for the courtesy car was really nice, as was valet staff.  Very outgoing and friendly, as well as helpful.  Many other staff seemed to be new and/or inexperienced at best. Room quality wasn't as nice as the many other W and Westin properties I have stayed at.  It felt like an old Ramada Inn with some 'chic' (read: cheap plastic) furnishings..  Ugh.

The line to get in is INSANE. Once you are in, I found myself thinking, wow.. was that really worth it? Don't get me wrong, opera is nice, just not worth waiting in that long line for. I went in only once, had the VIP deal--which means you can get upstairs and see all the non-vip-ers dancing below.. I was really just not that impressed.. But I had a blast.. so it must have been alright..
