Awesome place to see a show depending on where you get to sit. Lots of other aspects of it left us irritated. Some of the table seats are crammed deep in corners where the sound and sight lines suck. We two had a reservation and got in line ~1 hour before showtime, and got decent seats, although their method of seating people is somewhat haphazard and not really equitable (the two people behind us in line got way better seats than us). Basically, be prepared to be led into the (darkened) room by a server, and in the course of ~10 seconds, while walking among the seats, point at and ask for all of the empty seats you can see that you like, and hope that some of them aren't already mysteriously claimed (here is where you realize that even though you followed the Note's website and made yourself a reservation, other people have some other kind of special reservations that allow them to actually, you know, reserve something). When you point at something that your server thinks is OK, go sit down immediately and don't move until the seating is over. Be prepared to wait until the show is almost over for your required drink purchase to arrive. People who ordered food got their drinks waaayyyy before everybody else, so I guess if you're thirsty, order some overpriced pub food. Also, be prepared to get ripped off as you would at any similar famous venue. OK-looking burgers = $16. Drink prices are jacked (e.g., $8/domestic beer). "Warm drinks" listed on the menu are $10, and there is a nice selection: coffee with Irish whiskey, coffee with tequila and kahlua, coffee with Tia Maria, coffee with peppermint Schnapp's and creme de cacao, and coffee with Bailey's and frangelico. However if you just want coffee and Bailey's you'll pay $3.95 for the coffee and $10 for the Bailey's. Making it worse, they list these items separately on the bill, as though you're getting a big mug of coffee and a 2 oz. shot of Bailey's, but they serve them together in one stemmed coffee mug, just like the $10 "Warm drinks". Turns out we could have saved ourselves $4 by getting frangelico. After it was all over, a show listed as $30/pp ended up being $50/pp. with tax and tip.

I liked this place. Coming from San Diego this place really felt like it was a Southern California fancy club without all of the Southern California fancy douchebags. Or Southern California fancy prices. 7 mixed drinks for $55 (including 3 Red Bull & Vodkas)? Yes please! The music was good...all though I wished that I could have checked out the "techno" room more in depth. The main room had the typical Top 40/Rap/Mashup stuff going on which I don't really see as any sort of negative. Big clubs play that because thats what most people want to hear when they go out. Anyway, save your money on Friday nights! Sign up on the guest list and get there before or right at 11! You get in free. It's kind of dead but the place definitely picks up around 12:30.

This is one of my favorite spots in Philly! Maybe the reason why I feel so strongly is because I've only been here once (late dinner). but that one time was good enough to make me always wanna come back. I'm giving it 5 stars because: 1. Love the bird-cage/swings type seats for two. My first time! Kudos for the creativity. 2. Great service - and cute waiters too. ;) 3. I had my salad sent back and the waiter was extremely gracious about it. Didn't make me feel bad for not having told him earlier i did not want feta cheese in my salad. 4. Huge salads!! (although the samosas i ordered were quite small) 5. Good crowd - On my way to the ladies' room, i got stopped by 2 good looking and well-dressed men throwing me compliments and trying to chat me up (in a non-sleazy way). Gotta give props to any place that makes me feel good about myself. =) 6. I just like how this place is casual yet trendy!
