Sort of gourmet down home that is the perfect place to come if you are only in Atlanta for one night!  I've been here twice in a period of 12 years, and both times were excellent.  The crab soup was exquisite, and I also enjoyed my peach whiskey drink.  Also got the Fried Green Tomatoes, which were wonderful and served with a nice tangy sauce.  My friend got the scallops and shrimp grits and I got the buttermilk fried chicken - both were good, but i'm definitely curious about the other items on the chicken was a little burnt - our waiter grabbed it after I mentioned it, and came back with a whole new plate - chicken perfectly cooked.  I've had better fried chicken....honestly, I think Korean Fried Chicken in NYC has set the bar for me...but overall, great atomsphere, great service, and a great classy way to get your feet wet with southern down home cuisine!

I have a serious love-hate relationship with Midnight Rodeo. I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who goes only on Thursday and Friday nights. Everything from the overcrowded dance floor to cheap, watered down drinks tells me to stay far away. The doors open early, but the crowds don't pile in until 11PM or later. I've been broadsided and whacked in the face more than once because there's just NO room to move on the dance floor. You might be drawn to the 50-cent wells or whatever, but the drinks are so weak and watered-down that I need at least 5-6 to feel even the slightest buzz. I'm a lightweight too. Not cool. On the other hand, I like.. no, I LOVE to two-step, and few places around Austin offer free cover on Thursday nights (F, 21+) and a sizable dance floor. If you get there early enough, say 9PM, you can have lots of room to move. The DJ puts on popular and upbeat one-step and two-step country songs. Don't bother coming for the non-country tunes though; it's usually a mash of sleazy, bad pop. Live music nights are also not as crowded, and the bands have been really enjoyable from my experiences. If you love country dancin' as much as I do, you'll probably put up with Midnight Rodeo but wonder what you were thinking when another person tramples over your feet.

Another hot spot for now. As you enter your greeted by the dimly interior . Very mellow/relaxed place. Great music . The drinks are inexpensive & well served. The people are nicely mixed. Was almost forgetting  there's couches were you can just lounge. It comes in handy when you just want to chill after too many.
