Went on a Saturday night round 11ish, girlfriends and I were too dressed up for the kicked back crowd, music was bunk, we were getting mugged 1/2 the nite or what was left of it, and hardly anyone was dancing.  Someone told us it was called Bruno's Jazz Lounge. We were expecting a classier place.  Oh well, what's in a name.  Not what any of us expected.  If we were prepared for a hip hop nite then it wouldn't have been so disappointing.  Maybe I'll go back to try their food but not my kinda place to hang out.  Didn't know you could eat here till reading Rateclub's reviews.

You know you're a fan of something when you eat there Sunday afternoon and you're already ready to go back again on Thursday night. I enjoyed Maggiano's when I lived in the Dallas area and in Houston. We even made a special tour with the family down to San Antonio one Sunday afternoon just to eat at Maggiano's - that was before this little gem (actually not all that "little") opened at the Domain in Austin. This is a chain concept done totally right!! The food is delicious...the portions are huge...and taste is consistent from one place to another. This is a great addition to the Austin area - family style Italian dining. I mean you really get a RIDICULOUS amount of food - and you get to try several different things. (A HUGE thing for me...as I like a little variety in my meals.) The food makes for great conversation - as everyone votes for their faves...and it's funny because nothing is ever bad...it's just some things are more awesome than others. Our faves so far - The Maggiano's, Chopped, or Spinach salads are all great! Spinach Artichoke al Forno Mushroom Ravioli al Forno (both so good they're almost EVIL) Chicken Parmesan (this will satisfy that craving like no other) Chicken Rigatoni "D" (the "D" must be for DIZAMN! that's DELICOUS!!) Seared Pork Medallions Bonus - we have more to try before we exhaust all the menu options...and we're SO looking forward to it. Maggiano's came to Austin with it's game face on - no awkward first couple of weeks to get into the flow. The only negative things you can really say about this place is that it's a chain...but I think if all chain's were like this - there probably wouldn't be a bad connotation.
