by Chris G. on Hip Hop heads UNITE!! First the stats...Take the F train to the 2nd Avenue station and exit on the 1st avenue side. Walk to Eldridge (which is across the street). They don't open their doors til 7PM so you can't go right after work if you get out around 5. There is one bar in the back of the place. From 7 to 10PM, beers are $3 and well drinks (you know, vodka and soda, rum and coke, etc) are a meager $4. Early on, there are little tables (about the size of the kiddie stool) near the benches that run along the sides of the place. The size? As most people said already...it is small. REAL small. From the front door to the bar in the back...we are talking about 10 yards. This place is the size of 1 hummer (the military ones not the street legal ones). Music? If you like Hip HOP, this place is for you. Sing along to all your favorites. The crowd was into the tunes and since there is no place to just stand around, you're kinda forced to move your feet. After 11, there is a $5 cover at the door but well worth it for a night of fun. Its like being at one of those old basement parties. Think Lower East Side house party. I liked the place but the crowd is what gave me mixed reviews. There were more guys than girls but there were alot of non-hip hop people partying. With so many bf/gf combos in here crowding the dance floor, it was hard to move freely and pick your poison. You could get stuck with something you don't want (armpit guy, gym sweat guy, attitude girl, Big mama in the bunch). BILAL!!! SWITCH AGAIN!!
by Missy Lauderdale on The music was great! Definitely my type of crowd! very mixed! The games are utterly expensive I dared not to purchase tickets. I would rather go to coney island. I stood in the dance room all night long! I had space to dance as I pleased. I am taking one star off for the lack of cotton candy and other things you should be eating at a carnival. I wanted my candy apple and they had none at like 12.:30... WTF I wanted my Candy apples. I hate bars and clubs that o not have hypnotic! sorry I love my hyp and henney together to turn me into the incredible dance hulk! If you like to dance or not this is the place for you! Oh yeah and if you like walking up dungeon stairs that are like twelve flights up! BEWARE
