by Andy V. on Jillians is a great place for pool and watching sports, mainly March madness. Tons of TV and a good setting is a good time. Their beer selection is also good. Everything else is meh. My time at Jillians usually depends on the company I'm with. The venue itself is a little irrelevant. If i'm with good company, then I usually have a good time. I must commend Jillians for being an excellent catalyst for the fun though. There are a lot of TV's here, and the waiting staff is pretty friendly accommodating your party for your sports watching needs. However, I had to bump it down a star because sometimes the service is really slow. It's a little hit or miss. In one example, my friend ordered some Salmon cakes, but we literally didn't get it almost an hour later. Good thing we were occupied with a bball game, or we would have been pissed. The food was also only decent. Meh.
by Jacquie L. on Reggae Gold 2nd Saturdays here is the shit. I mean some, winding and grinding, sweat drippin, all up in your grill kinda shit. And it's dirty. Just the way I like it. Bass pumpin reggae dancehall beats and some of the best eye candy I've seen in a while. And we got grimy on the dancefloor last night, dirty like. Dirty like if we didn't have our clothes on we would been doin the nasty. You don't have to get dirty if you don't want to but, I like it dirty, especially on the dancefloor. You don't have to tell anyone your name on the dancefloor. There's a certain anonymity to it. After all, sometimes, as someone put it to me, "a dance is just a dance". I should warn you, do not attempt to make your way onto the dancefloor if you are not prepared to represent. Because EVERYONE here on 2nd Saturdays can groove. And I mean the type of dirty groovin that makes you want to go home and play with your goodies in your "secret" drawer afterward. Yeah they frisked me on the way in. But, honey, I woulda paid money to frisk down some of those boys that were walking in this joint last night. And, there's only 2 bathrooms, which sucks when you've gotta go REALLY badly. And, the guest list closes at 11pm and cover is $20 a pop. BUT THIS PLACE CLOSES AT 6AM!!!! I got to leave the club on MY time, not on the city's time for once (at least in a while). And the people are chill. This place is not ghetto, it's just a good time. And, my favorite part was that there was a complete shortage of what has become my pet peeve of going out in SF: drunk white girls falling all over the place after disgracing themselves on the dance floor grinding each other.
