by danny s. on I had a friend stay here this past week on business. I had never been beyond the lobby so I was excited to see the rooms. I was really shocked to see the condition the rooms are in. At the rate they are charging the rooms should be much nicer. The hallways are painted dark brown and the lighting is so dim that you really can not see that well. The hallway also smelled like a swimming pool. My friend was staying in the one bedroom suite. Again the room was painted dark and furnished with what looked like furniture that was bought at a yard sale. I personally would not stay here at the prices they are charging.
by youCouldBgordon c. on 1) Vessel is a beautiful club with no question the best sound system in the city. (I did see some idiot try to climb the bonsai tree --didn't last long--) 2) It is a scene, and as such, comes with a corresponding amount of attitude. (Give the door guys a break, they're cool, they just deal with drunk people all night long. And compared to the door guys at pink... now they suck.) 3) The have a cool little smoking room in the back of the place. (When the club opened they had free cigs here... That was cool.) 4) They have Bulliet Bourbon. 5) The club is still hit or miss, but give it a little bit of time and it will find its legs (or possibly the highly tanned, waxed, legs of some model from NY).
