by Rick F. on I'm confused! The menu does not seem to know what it wants to be when it grows up! Cheese Plate Appetizer was excellent, Duck Plate Appetizer was also excellent. Side dishes Asparagus, Cauliflower, Mac & Cheese all fantastic. Chicken w/brussel Sprouts Kim Chi soy reduction salty but I liked it and would order it again. I'm not a fan of the decor. Has a cool vibe and young crowd! Service was overly casual and disconnected but good! Place could use a good scrubbing down. I'll be back!
by Audrey T. on Hey, I got friends for all kinds of places. I got dive bar with retro juke box friends and top 40 in da CLUB friends, wine bar girlfriends, fancy cocktail loving lush friends. Well, I don't have any Le Club friends because I can't quite figure out what's going on there. The place is nice. It's pretty, it's new, it's in an old Victorian Nob Hill apartment building. There's a cool "billiards" room with a dark, wrought iron chandelier. Well, the room was cool until some snooty types booted us out because they had the whole thing "reserved." Didn't we all make rezzy's to get in here in the first place? We were seated at this table ... by the host-person! And why the dirty looks from the all 6 of you? It's a big room, and we only have 2 more balls until we finish our game. Keep your pleat-front pants on! So then we get moved out to the main area. It's a weird collection of, well, older people, dressed funny. We order some more over-priced cocktails that were just average. Bourbon & Branch, Absinthe, and Nopa beat them hands down when it comes to cocktails. So sure, it's unique in how much of a to-do it is go. And I like places where you have a guaranteed seat. But I'm not sure they quite pulled it off. Oh wells, I'll keep reading the reviews until someone convinces me differently...
