by Jon G. on Our group ate here during the day on a Sunday and expected to get reasonable service, reasonable food in reasonable amount of time. What we received was horrible service, nasty food and a hellish wait for it. Yes I know McFadden's primary service is that of a sports bar, but I can name 20 sports bars around the valley providing much better service and food. People are still paying for service and food and should be treated as such. The Sunday we went we had went around 1pm. We were waiting to be seated by the hostess who had her purse slung around her shoulder as she was ready to leave. She said "Well, I guess I can seat you". Sorry, all we wanted to do was pay for lunch and drinks. Sorry for the inconvenience. We were sat in a section with about 2 other tables (the bar and restaurant was 'dead') and thought to ourselves, this should be quick. WRONG. We ordered drinks and it took about 15 minutes to receive them. Then we put our order in. We had ordered items off of the happy hour (chicken strips and soup) and a sandwich. It took 45 MINUTES to receive these items. The Irish Potato Soup was separating and it looked like it had been maturing under a heat lamp for about 30 minutes. The French Dip sandwich was dry as a bone. Despite complaining about both of these items they were not taken off of our bill. As we walked out I warned a couple going in to make sure they have hours of time to waste if they want food. The guy asked if I was serious due to the small amount of people inside. I reaffirmed him and he and his girl were on their way elsewhere. The least I could do was prevent someone else from experiencing McFadden's service and food. Do yourself a favor and go one of the other restaurants in Westgate City Center, McFadden's doesn't deserve your patronage.
by Desiree Kaschak on Another favorite neighborhood bar of mine with a great wine list AND they serve their red wine at the perfect temperature - that's the most annoying thing in the world! Warm red wine yuck! The hanger steak is fabulous and they have great, super flavorful side dishes. The spaetzle is soooo good, so what if it's basically fried carbs! I've really enjoyed most of the other dishes they serve here but I will warn that the portions are not very large so be prepared to purchase one or two sides with your entree choice depending on the size of your appetite. Finally, the bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable. They serve fairly late as well which is a great alternative to fast food or diner fare. OH and how could I forget, the mac & cheese is the best I've ever had...pure heaven.
by Karine Harens on I have been coming to Webster Hall since I was 19, It was easily a 5 Star Location then,, now on the other hand the tables have turned - there was drastic remodeling, the hip hop room which used to be in the basement shared it with the coat check, which had shorter lines ,, now it's a college/rock room - and the folks slid the coat check over to the most inconvenient place... by the stairs. Coat Check is Horrible! The Admissions is usually is $14 on fridays for guys -online, I normally get free invites via email So besides the college rock room, they have a mainstream room which used to play Techno/House "I think a DJ Avery Played" then it was great now it's a joke, the little room near that used to be the Latin Room - they made it look nice, but honestly music sucks and it's the same DJ, who used to play good hits - I think it's webster hall's way of saying stop catering to our original folks - they were playing some wierd techno, oldies and such, room was dead - then they started playing salsa, and was getting lively. Look the room is small, why do people (guys / girls ) enter a room where people dance and stand and do nothing but look - I had 0 room to dance, uncomfortable. but had fun! It's a HUGE PLACE,, Just go early , and go with the party mood
