by Vivian W. on Was a little hesitant about this place after reading the reviews on rateclubs but I was def pleasantly surprised. I went last Friday ( met Johnny Drama from Entourage!) with a group of friends, and we all had a great time. We went early (1030ish) and we were only waiting in line for about 5-10minutes. No cover for the ladies, and the guys with us only paid $10 each. Decent music, a nice outdoor terrace and a good sized dance floor. No complaints.
by Julissa Cassens on Great venue and space to dance. The music was a good mix of eighties, dance, techno, and hip hop. The DJ kept everyone moving all night. It wasn't too packed and the high ceilings allowed good ventilation. The occasional dancers swinging from the ceilings made it really entertaining. I thought the crowd was a good mix of people, mostly between 20's-30's. I especially liked that not too many guys tried to dance in our space and let us have a good time. Seems like if you're a guy here and not buying bottle service, it might be a bit difficult to get in. As a group of girls, we were actually recruited by a group of guys who were on the guest list because they couldn't get in without girls. So, I guess, guys, go with a group of female friends.
by Anisa Maybury on As soon as I saw the misspelled 'COCTAIL' sign out front, I knew I was going to love Vertigo. At first glance the bar seems small and cozy, but if you venture further into the bar you will discover a hidden dance floor. I can only imagine the scandal that has taken place on that hidden dance floor. Oh and it should be mentioned that numerous disco balls of various sizes flutter above this hidden dance floor which is lined with gigantic mirrors. Sounds like a dirty sex scene if you ask me. I imagine Vertigo gets pretty crowded on the weekends, but during the week it is a great place to get together with friends.
