by Tara M. on I think this place was excellent! They had a great dj playing awesome music all night long. Our waitress was very helpful and attentative. I like that the steaks come in three size options. The mac and cheese was amazing and so was the bread! Then we ordered these cute and delicious mini ice cream cones for dessert! Very cool ambience and New York feel... I will definitley be going back very soon! A+ all around!
by Sona Drevs on Dropped in for dinner on my long awaited Philly trip from SF and what better way to dine in Philly at Morimoto. We had the rock shrimp tempura "bites", hamachi tataki with ponzu sauce, crunchy california roll, spicy tuna roll, tuna pizza and drank a lychee cosmopolitan. Everything was excellent from the food, service, ambiance. Would definitely love to come back. Thanks for my cousin and his wife for the suprise dinner and treat!
by Kenyatta Alu on Bimbo's is classy, and historic. It's a great venue for wandering around, getting drinks from classy bartenders, and feeling like you're in a bygone era. I saw CSS play here and it was a super good time. The sound wasn't all that great, but I'm not sure whether to blame the venue or the band for that one. My only real complaint about Bimbo's is that it is an insane clusterfuck to get out once the show is over. As far as I can tell, there is one exit. Then, the merch tables are in front of the coat check, so if you have to pickup a checked item at the end be prepared to stand in line, get shoved, have people squeeze by you, and cut in front of you. That said, Bimbo's is kind of awesome.
