by vikram d. on Came here for my Birthday last month and am glad I did so! We got a bottle service for around 400 which was expected at such a venue. Our table was upstairs and had a great view of the entire place. Dance floor is huge and packed. The music is not your Top 40's and more Techno ( atleast for that night) . Decor , music and the sound is the one which separates this place from the rest!
by Joseph Devault on we were supposed to walk the High Line up to 20th and then walk the rest of the way to the Frying Pan. But i had just gotten done being emotionally assaulted at century 21 by the post christmas shopping mentality being exhibited and really needed a drink. so we took the subway up and walked the 8 long ass blocks to the frying pan. when i saw that we were going to be drinking pitchers of margaritas on giant tug boats,i perked up immediately. there was a largish crowd there but we still had a forward deck of a boat almost completely to ourselves. we also got food. the garlic fried are good,though they get cold quickly. The burger is pretty good but the magarita pizza wasnt very good,though,to be honest, its really not about the http://food.its about the drinks and the http://location.itwas one of the favorite things we did while we were on vacation and its something i will look forward to doing every time im in new york .

I really liked the layout of ths spot with the more bar and chill area in the front room and a lounge in the middle and finally the DJ/music/dance room in the back. The crowd was diverse and there were a decent amount of good looking ladies here, along with some cougars. One cougar was was seriously trying to get at my friend, so that was entertaining to watch. The drinks were good and the prices were fair. The bartenders were a little slow considering a ton of the people who were up to the bar already had drinks. I guess I'm just not that patient. In the backroom where they had a DJ was cool, but the DJ really needs to learn to mix better. He seemed really off his game that night and the only thing he was able to blend properly was reggae. Overall cool spot and I'd check it out again, but wouldn't go out of my way to plan going here regularly.
